Digital X-ray
Digital X-rays--New imaging with digital probe producing digital pictures of the
tooth structure. Ability to enlarge the picture so that you may examine it
better. You may have a a copy to take with you if you wish. An advantage to
digital is less radiation.
A digital camera is also used in the mouth to allow the patient to view a color
image of the tooth structure. This enable the patient to see the actual cracks and
fissures the the tooth as. It also allow you to see the plaque that has built up on
the teeth and how the inflamed gums look.
